Kanchanjunga Expedition
Kangchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world lies on the border of Nepal & Sikkim. It was believed to be the highest mountain in the world from 1838 until 1849. It is the most easterly of the great 8,000 meter peaks of the Himalaya with an enormous mountain mass, and many peaks rise from its narrow icy ridges. The peak was first attemted in 1905 but was succeded only in 1955 by a British team. The name Kanchanjunga refers Five Treasuries of Great Snow which means five high peaks that rise from the surrounding glaciers. Avalanches are common in these peaks.
Detail Itinerary,
Day 1: Kathmandu (1310m/4298ft)
Our airport representative will be received you at the airport and transfer to Hotel. It is 7km and takes about 10 minutes. Overnight at hotel, B.B plan
Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sight Seeing
After breakfast beautiful "Kathmandu Valley" sight seeing. This day we visit Shwoyambhunath Stupa, Baudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel, B.B plan
Day 3/5: Stay at Kathmandu for the official procedure
Day 6: Drive to Phidim
Day 7: Stay in Phidim for arrangement of porters
Day 8: Trek to Panchami
Day 9: Trek to Doban
Day 10: Trek to Khewang
Day 11: Trek to Yamphudin
Day 12 Trek to Amje Khola
Day 13: Trek to Toronto
Day 14: Trek to Tseram
Day 15: Trek to Ramje
Day 16: Trek to Glacier Camp
Day 17: Trek to Kanchenjunga Base Camp
Day 18/20: Stay at Base Camp for acclimatization
Day 21/60: Climbing period
Day 61: Return trek to Ramje
Day 62: Trek to Amje Khola
Day 63: Trek to Yamphudin
Day 64: Trek to Khewang
Day 65: Trek to Panchami
Day 66: Trek to Ghopetar
Day 67: Drive Ghopetar to Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
Day 68: Kathmandu
Rest day at Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. B.B Plan.
Day 69: Kathmandu
Rest day at Kathmandu. Surprise dinner party. Overnight at hotel. B.B Plan.
Day 70: Departure to Airport Departure to airport for the onward destination.
